Hardy Iris for the beginning of the bloom season. Spreading into drifts, the white and purple shades complement the yellow shades of the early daylilies.
The fine fibrous roots of the Siberian Iris are obvious in this picture. As the roots are so fine. When transplanting, care must be taken to prevent the roots from drying out. Leaving them in a bucket of water for shorts periods of time (1-2 days) works fine.
